1. What cookies we set
Ledger & Lease uses strictly-necessary cookies for account, security, checkout, and draft-resume flows. These are not sold to third parties.
- Session cookie: keeps you signed in across pages. Removed when you sign out or after the session expires.
- CSRF token: protects forms (sign-in, record creation, account changes) from cross-site request forgery.
- Attribution cookie: a short-lived first-party marker recording which referring page brought you to us, so we can measure landing-page effectiveness without external analytics. Expires after 30 days.
2. Marketing measurement
We use Meta Pixel to measure whether paid advertising helps landlords and agents find the service. Pixel events use generic labels such as Proof Record, Lead, checkout, and purchase value. We do not send tenant names, addresses, rent figures, uploaded file names, or evidence content to Meta.
For full UK/EU launch, marketing pixels should be gated behind marketing consent. Until then, you can block marketing cookies in your browser settings.
3. What we do not use
- No tenant-level or evidence-content data is used for advertising measurement.
- No cross-site fingerprinting.
- No Google Analytics or Reddit pixel.
After a paid purchase or a qualified evidence forward, our server may also send a pseudonymised conversion signal (a hashed email and a hashed internal customer id) to the advertising platform used for that campaign. See the Privacy policy, section 6, for the full detail and how to object.
4. Third-party processors
Meta may set or read marketing cookies when the Pixel loads. See Meta’s cookie policy.
On checkout pages, Stripe sets its own cookies to perform fraud and risk checks. See Stripe’s cookie settings. We do not control those cookies; they apply only on checkout pages.
5. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session and CSRF cookies will prevent you from signing in. Blocking the attribution cookie has no effect on the records you can create.
6. Changes
If the cookie set changes, we update this page and note the change onservice notices.
